The Entry Hall makes the first impression when entering past the carved double doors of the vestibule. An informational desk awaits you with numerous brochures highlighting events and attractions of the area. Stone Rose is proud to be a member of the Montgomery and Schoharie Chambers of Commerce.

Upstairs near the guest rooms is a small sitting area for your enjoyment.

The Living Room, separated from the dining area by glass French doors, is a quiet and colorful space with comfortable easy chairs and sofa. This area has a television, writing desk as well as a vignette of antique knick knacks and photographs.

The Dining Room offers a southern exposure and is filled with sunshine throughout the day. A large room with heavy moldings and double chandeliers, the dining room also doubles as a music room with a spinet piano. If so inclined, you are welcomed to play.

The Library has been referred to by many guests as their favorite room for its authentic re-creation of the Victorian library. Deep, rich wood moldings accent the gold guild walls. The floor to ceiling double walnut bookcases house a large collection of regional and state history books as well as a diverse array of materials for your reading pleasure. The warm glow cast from the chandeliers and gas fireplace creates a dreamy atmosphere for your morning meal.

The Front Porch overlooks the lawns and rose gardens. An array of wildlife can be observed on the winding path of Fly Creek. It is the perfect place to take a break from a busy day and relax on the two big old fashioned gliders or the Amish rockers. Our tables and chairs offer a nice place for afternoon tea or to enjoy your breakfast in warmer weather.
